FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: BATHROOM REMODELING
Does a plumber need to be involved if I’m only doing a "cosmetic" remodel?
Even if you aren’t moving your shower or toilet, we highly recommend a professional inspection before the new tile or vanity goes in. In many older Utah homes, the internal valves and drain lines may be reaching the end of their lifespan. Replacing a $50 valve or a corroded drain pipe while the walls are open is much cheaper than having to tear out your brand-new tile later to fix a “hidden” leak.
Can you help me move my shower or toilet to a different part of the bathroom?
Absolutely. This is one of our specialties. Moving a fixture requires re-routing the waste lines and water supply, which must be done precisely to ensure proper drainage and pressure. Our team uses specialized equipment to determine the best path for your new layout, ensuring your dream floor plan is supported by a rock-solid plumbing foundation that meets all local building codes.
How long will my water be turned off during the remodeling process?
We know that losing water access is the biggest inconvenience of a remodel. While we do have to shut off the main water line to perform “rough-in” work or install new valves, we aim to keep these windows as short as possible—usually just a few hours at a time. We work closely with our customers to schedule these shut-offs at the most convenient times, ensuring you aren’t left without water for any longer than absolutely necessary.
